YMCA Pickle Ball Tournament

The 2021 Newton Fest Open Adult Pickle Ball Tournament is a two day event that includes pool play followed by a double elimination tournament. The event will consist of two different doubles divisions based on skill level.
Tournament Format: Round Robin - Teams will be seeded based on performance in round robin play. All matches best two out of three straight 11. Tie breaker game to 7. Cash prize for top finishers. 1st place for advanced= $100. 1st place for intermediate= $50. Tournament Fee: $35.00 per team (Includes Water & Gatorade). Sandwiches served between pool play and double elimination tournament. Deadline to register June 5th, 2021 QUESTIONS? It’s that time of year again, time to start planning your BBQ calendar and what better way to start your season off with an Iowa BBQ Society sanctioned backyard contest on June 11 and 12 at Maytag Park in Newton.
Q 4 Causes committee members are happy to announce registration is open. For 2021, there will be a 3 meat contest (chicken, ribs and pork) and will be providing all meats! Entry fee will be $150 per team, space that will be provided is 16’ wide x 40’ long, no power provided, water will be accessible. Bathrooms will be on site. The Newton Chamber of Commerce is pleased to join in on this long weekend of fun with our "Cool Cars" Car Show. This year our Car Show is on Saturday, June 12th from 10am - 4pm. This show is for all car enthusiasts whether your car is a classic, or just plain cool. Enter your car and you will have the opportunity to win our "Best of Show" trophy or our "People's Choice" Award as well as trophies for different classes!
