2020 marks the SIXTH year of Newton Fest and we’re more excited than ever for all that we have planned to celebrate all things Newton!
This year’s Newton Fest will take place June 11 – 13 and will feature a weekend full of entertainment and activities throughout Newton including downtown Newton, Iowa Speedway, DMACC Newton Campus, Legacy Plaza and Maytag Park.
This event continues to grow each year but it’s because of partners like you that we are able to continue this now treasured community celebration. Each year, your business provides overwhelming support and generosity to local organizations and events. We are reaching out today to ask for your support of Newton Fest – specifically, we are contacting you with information about our sponsorship levels.
Newton Fest is truly a community celebration. We try to include as many organizations, partners and non-profits in our planning and activities. Last year, the BBQ competitors gave back to Jasper County Animal Rescue League and Discover Hope 517. Project Awake helped bring a multitude of vendors to the Newton Fest vendor fair. Johnson Aviation’s plane rides helped raise money for the Newton Rotary.
But most of all, our goal is to offer FREE family-friendly entertainment for community members to enjoy and be a part of regardless of their financial status. This included offering the following events free: inflatables at Legacy Plaza, live music in Legacy Plaza, the Nelson concert that drew one of the largest crowds to Maytag Bowl in recent years, the showing of Wizard of Oz at Capitol II Theatre and much more. But to continue to offer free family-friendly events to all those who attend, we need your support.

Newton Fest is excited to once again host a Bill Riley Talent Search during Newton Fest. The talent search is at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 6 at Maytag Bowl (301 S 11th Ave W; Newton, Iowa 50208).
The outdoor show will serve as a qualifying show for the Iowa State Fair competition.
