Opus Taylor is a six member band from Des Moines, Iowa- Bill, Jono, Lori, Phil, Scott, & Ted. All experienced musicians who love to put on a great show of classic rock from the '60's on up!
Those attending the free concerts are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets and are welcome to bring coolers to Maytag Park as they enjoy the free, live music.

This FREE dodgeball tournament is being organized by the City of Newton's Community Services Department. There are two separate age divisions; 12 - 17 and 18+. The tournament is a single elimination tournament. There are prizes in each age division for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place as well as "Best Dressed Team".

He has opened for legendary performers like BB King, Willie Nelson, The Beach Boys, as well as modern artists like Matt Nathanson, Edwin McCain, and The Lone Bellow.
